Love this game. Played the original, but not all the way through. (life got in the way) Just got further then I did in the original, and am beating myself up for not playing more of it before! SMT is Personas Daddy. However where Persona went off and did its own thing and became unique in its own way, SMT stays a little more true to its ways from back in their day. Wanna hang out with people? go to school? play Persona Wanna hang out with Angels and Demons? Go to Hell? Play SMT

Genuinely one of the best games Atlus has ever made. If you consider yourself a fan of JRPGs, you have to play this game. Improvements from the Switch original turn it from a complete disappointment into a religious experience to play. Tons of new content, including an entirely original story (Canon of Vengeance) that I would recommend everyone play first, since the original story is still present and not even a quarter as good. Normally I have reservations about Atlus Rereleases, but this one is genuinely worth it.

As someone who bought and played the original version on switch i was very hesitant to pay another full price for an upgraded version. After around 3 hours of playtime i have to admit: This new version is worth buying for full price all over again. The amount of new stuff is staggering and everything that already existed has been reworked or expanded upon. Almost hat to say it, but Atlus taking another 60 bucks for an "old" game is justified in this instance. The pc port supports high resolutions and framerates as well. Even the prefered button layout and labeling regarding your gamepad of choice can be changed freely in the games menu. Nothing to complain here.
